This award-winning home consists of a long, thin and clean collection of solid masses which fit the site like a glove and show a simple intriguing composition.
Upper Living: The open, high-glazed living areas and main bedroom are all centred around a generous first floor courtyard. The effect is sophisticated one-room living seamlessly blending indoors with out. This gives the all-elusive opposites of privacy / shelter as well as light filled openness and fresh air. Decks wrap fully around front to middle courtyard, to western deck, then down to the pool. A large workroom gives a light filled studio-like space with its own deck.
On the ground floor: a sweeping steel and timber entry stair has low rise treads, like a lazy ramp, giving a sense of drama and arrival at the top. A generous boat garage is behind the cars, then guest bedrooms and a separate living room and kitchenette which lead out to the pool.
