With more demand for contemporary country homes, which are not too far from town for commuting and the ease of single-level living also desirable, I was particularly interested in what could be achieved in this project.
The pavilion-like forms topped with single-pitch crisp roof shapes were a starting point. Large volumes in the living area were created with inverted truss construction, giving a thin blade edge to the roof. Also in demand is a high quality fit-out for bathrooms and the kitchen with light fittings and built-in features to create a sense of surrounding beauty. The Varley's chose quality materials which give the house real ambience.
