On a beautiful large country site high in the Kaimai Ranges, this house will provide a substantial home for a family of five. Views are superb over a native bush reserve to Matakana Island and Mount Maunganui. The site is right up against the main range bush line and is high enough to need sensible design for shelter from westerly winds. This is achieved with a 'U' shaped courtyard and garden walls creating tropical outdoor rooms.
Tropical modern features are integrated throughout. A feature is a set of six very tall doors opening from the double height living room to the courtyard and pools, with the view extending over native forest to the sea. Seamless indoor - outdoor living is created following the tropical ideal. This will be a place of adventure, memories and rest from travels.
