Our brief was to design two new townhouses for two brothers to live in permanently. This project is an example of successful higher density urban beach living as the site is a very narrow (12.5 x 42 metres) and is situated one street back from Marine Parade on Rita Street in Mount Maunganui.
The townhouses, which each include a separate apartment, are mirrored end to end and make the most of the sun and views in both directions to the sea and to the trees of Mount Drury.
