Our brief was to design three apartments on a very long, thin beachfront site.  The apartments needed to appeal to a wide market as they were to be built for sale.  Making the most of the fantastic sea views was a priority for this project so we used a proven apartment format that Will had developed on other long sites - two parallel apartments on the middle and bottom level and one apartment on the top level. Garaging is behind on the lower level of three storeys.

Adding in courtyard recesses was a crucial factor in the success of these long thin shapes. The courtyards have been used successful here, as you will see from the photos above, as long vistas are possible through to the sea.  The feeling in these rooms is spacious, airy and uplifting.
