This large urban site is between the croquet lawn reserve and a quiet street, with the shopping centre, beach and harbour within easy walking distance.  Thirteen residential apartments were designed around a large U-shaped courtyard.  A generous stair leads past and over open garaging to a shared entry courtyard deck with front doors leading from this.

Views are provided both into the courtyard and to the harbour beyond and good light and a feeling of openness is achieved.  More like grouped villas than apartments, this project follows our philosophy that apartments need to be large enough, and designed especially for, living all year round rather than just for holidays when the weather is warm.
